The grapes are grown in La Mancha, a dry continental plateau in central Spain known for producing wines with good sugar concentration and aromatic intensity. Chardonnay is the variety used for the sparkling whites and Tempranillo for the rosé. All products in the range are certified organic and vegan. The sparkling wines are documented as pregnancy-safe, which extends the brand's practical relevance to pregnant drinkers and others for whom a genuinely zero-alcohol credential matters rather than simply a reduced-alcohol one.

Norway has no commercial grape production of its own. Norwegian wine consumption historically operates through Vinmonopolet, the state-controlled retail monopoly that handles licensed alcohol sales. Building an AF sparkling wine brand in that context, then exporting it internationally, involves working against the grain of conventional wine geography in more ways than one.

The production method is conventional winemaking followed by careful alcohol removal. The grapes are fermented into a proper base wine, then ALT. applies vacuum distillation at reduced pressure to remove the alcohol. Running the process at lower pressure lowers the boiling point, which allows the alcohol to be stripped without exposing the wine to the higher temperatures that would destroy its aromatic compounds. A patented aroma-recovery step then reintroduces the volatile aromatics that evaporate during distillation, and no artificial flavourings are added to compensate. This documented, low-temperature process is what distinguishes ALT. from AF sparkling wines that rely on cruder removal methods or flavour correction after the fact.

The range spans sparkling whites, a rosé, and an orange spritz variant, covering 0.0% through to under 0.5% ABV. ALT. reaches customers through specialist alcohol-free retailers, consistent with where carefully produced AF sparkling wines currently find their initial audience.
