Pop Cultures is a Brighton-based kombucha brewery making jun kombucha — brewed with organic honey and green tea rather than the refined sugar and black tea of standard kombucha. They also barrel-age their brew in oak, which is unusual even within jun production. The result is described as funk-forward with natural carbonation from fermenting with added fruit and spices in glass jars. Their Zingy Ginger & Lime won a 2-star Great Taste Award. Small-batch, craft-positioned, and available through specialist retailers.
