Established by Jaime Torres, the business is now in its fourth generation of family ownership, with Miguel A. Torres serving as president. The company is the largest winery in Spain, producing around 3 million cases of Spanish wine per year and exporting to more than 140 countries.

The alcohol-free Natureo range covers dealcoholised whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines, produced from varieties including Moscatel, Chardonnay, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. Dealcoholisation uses the Spinning Cone technique, meaning the wine is fermented to full strength and the alcohol then removed. The Torres portfolio also includes Viña Sol, a wine label first made in 1962 by Miguel A. Torres at a small winery on the Mediterranean coast, and Sangre de Toro, introduced in 1954, both of which now carry alcohol-free editions.

Torres produces wine across nine Designations of Origin in Spain, with vineyards in Penedès, Priorat, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Rías Baixas, as well as in Chile and California. The company has been growing organic grapes since 1975 and manages more than 1,100 hectares of organic vines. Familia Torres co-founded International Wineries for Climate Action and the Association of Regenerative Viticulture, and has rescued close to 50 ancient Catalan grape varieties. Torres is an award-winning brand and 11 of its drinks have also won awards; Familia Torres has taken the top spot in Drinks International's Most Admired Wine Brands ranking seven times.
