The business has remained family-owned across five generations, with the fifth generation currently leading the company. Torres entered the AF category in 2008 with the launch of its first dealcoholised wine following four years of internal research, making it the first producer in Spain to release a dealcoholised wine.

The range is made using the Spinning Cone Column, a low-temperature method of separating alcohol from finished wine. The wine passes through a column of spinning cones under reduced pressure, which allows alcohol to be removed without the high temperatures that would damage the aromatic compounds responsible for the wine's character. Torres identifies this process as central to the quality positioning of its AF wines.

The 0.0% portfolio gives sober-curious drinkers a range of styles spanning still whites, rosé, reds, and sparkling across multiple Torres labels. Distribution is multi-channel, covering specialist alcohol-free retailers and mainstream supermarkets. Torres is present in more than 150 countries, a global footprint that gives the AF lines broader reach than most dedicated AF wine producers.

In 2019, Torres co-founded International Wineries for Climate Action alongside Jackson Family Wines, a body focused on reducing the wine industry's carbon footprint. Torres represents one of the most established AF wine producers by age and international reach, combining over 150 years of winemaking heritage with a technically documented dealcoholisation process and distribution across more than 150 countries.
