Juicy Lucy is Uiltje's low-alcohol take on the New England IPA. The grain bill includes barley, wheat and oat malt, which gives the beer its characteristic soft, rounded body. Orange peel and hop extract go in alongside the dry hops, contributing to an aroma that's heavily tropical: pineapple and freshly squeezed orange dominate from the moment you open the can. On the palate it's fruit-forward and juicy, though 50 IBU of bitterness stops it tipping into sweetness. The oats add a slightly creamy texture that works well for the style. The finish fades on citrus rather than drying out sharply, which is typical of hazy IPAs. It pours hazy golden with a cap of ivory foam. Serve at 3-6°C.
