LYSERØD
A 0% Danish sparkling tea blending Oolong, Silver Needle white tea and hibiscus into a dry, complex rosé alternative with red berry and apple character.
About This Drink
LYSERØD (light pink in Danish) is Copenhagen Sparkling Tea's rosé equivalent and the most convincingly wine-like of the three. The base is Oolong and Silver Needle white tea — both known for floral and stone fruit character — with a strong hibiscus addition that gives the pink colour and a tart edge. Organic grape and lemon juice round it out. The aroma is intensely floral and fruity: red berries, hibiscus and a dried cranberry note that you might reasonably mistake for a rosé on first sniff. The palate is dry and more structured than the aroma suggests, with red apple, blackberry and the tannin-adjacent dryness that comes from the Oolong. The finish is long and complex for an AF product. At only 8 calories per 100ml and 2g sugar it's one of the lowest-calorie options in the sparkling tea category and genuinely low in sugar. Organic, vegan and gluten-free. The bottle and glass presentation is strong enough to work at a dinner table without explanation. The most food-friendly of the three, particularly alongside fish and lighter meat dishes.
