About This Drink
Ginsin Tangerine is the most citrus-forward of the three Ginsin expressions, built around the sweet, slightly tart character of tangerine rather than the more complex botanical structure of the 12 Botanics. The colour is bright orange with yellow hues, which is more vivid than the other variants and reflects the tangerine character clearly. The nose is all citrus: tangerine peel, sweet orange and a light juniper note behind it. On the palate it's sweet and slightly acidic — citrus flavours driving through with fruity freshness, balanced by a spice that becomes more apparent as the drink opens up. The finish has a juniper presence that gives it a bit more gin-like structure than the strawberry variant. Like the rest of the Ginsin range, it's made by botanical infusion rather than fermentation, so the character is direct and botanical rather than spirit-like. It works best over ice with a light tonic, where the tangerine brightness can carry through without being diluted. A garnish of fresh orange peel extends the citrus theme and makes sense.
