Southern Summit is the beer that put Loch Lomond Brewery on the map, and the alcohol-free version uses the same hop bill - Summit and Citra - to carry the flavour through at 0.5% ABV. It's an American pale ale style, which means the emphasis is on citrus and tropical hops rather than malt character. Grapefruit is the dominant note. It arrives on the nose and follows through on the palate, rounded off with a bitter finish that reads as genuinely hoppy rather than sharp or astringent.
