0% Whisky Alternative
A 0% blended whisky alternative made by starting with real whisky and using enzymes to strip out all the alcohol — leaving the oak, spice, and caramel character behind.
About This Drink
What separates Black Sheep from most whisky alternatives is where it begins. Rather than attempting to reconstruct whisky flavour from scratch with botanicals alone, KAHOL starts with genuine full-strength blended whisky and strips the alcohol out through an enzymatic process. The result is 0% ABV but with the colour and complexity you'd expect from a Scotch. On the nose there's smoke and dried orchard fruit — apple and pear sitting behind the oak. The palate brings warm spice, soft caramel and vanilla, with the acidity from the vinegar base adding structure. It's lightly sweet rather than cloying, and the smokiness from oak maturation persists into the finish. At £27 for 500ml it's at the premium end of the AF spirits market. The bottle — a squat flask with a gold caduceus crest — looks the part on a home bar shelf, and works well both neat and in classics like an Old Fashioned. New to Amazon as of early 2026, it's still finding its audience, but the production method makes it genuinely different from most of what's out there.
