The fourth member of the Extra Special botanical range from Exceptional by ASDA, developed by Spirits of Virtue for Dry January 2024. Where the original Premium Botanical leans hard into juniper and citrus, this one takes a fruitier turn — Alpine juniper is still the backbone, but English strawberry and Scottish raspberry extracts push it somewhere sweeter and more aromatic. Best served long over ice with a premium tonic, which helps lift the berry notes and keeps the botanicals from feeling too cloying. On its own it's quite sweet — the tonic brings balance. A wedge of lime or a few fresh berries in the glass are optional but earned. At 70cl and 0% ABV, it fits neatly alongside the rest of the range on the ASDA shelf. If you've already tried the others, this is the most approachable of the four — easier to share with people who'd normally reach for something fruit-forward. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.
