Fav0%rite Sparkling Rosé

A dealcoholised sparkling rosé from Château de Saint-Martin in Côtes de Provence, made by cold vacuum extraction and bottled with added natural aromas.

About This Drink

Château de Saint-Martin has been producing classified Côtes de Provence rosé for eleven generations. The Fav0%rite range is their attempt to translate that pedigree into something you can drink without the alcohol — made by cold vacuum dealcoholisation, a process that strips the ethanol but inevitably takes some of the aromatic complexity with it. Natural aroma additions are used to compensate, which is standard practice across this style of wine. The result is a sparkling rosé that is more convincing than many in the category. There is genuine freshness and structure here — a taut, lively quality on the palate that stops it feeling flat or synthetic. The fruit is forward and unambiguous: peach, passion fruit, a hint of pomelo. Apple and kiwi come through in the finish with reasonable length. It is not going to fool anyone for a glass of Provence rosé, but it handles a festive occasion well and sits comfortably at the premium end of the AF sparkling wine shelf. Sourced directly from the producer and found in specialist AF wine retailers rather than supermarkets. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C.
