About This Drink
Lyre's Pink Spritz is a canned RTD from the Australian AF giant, designed as a grab-and-go version of a pink gin spritz without the alcohol. It's made with Lyre's Pink London Spirit as its base and combines the botanical character of that drink - juniper, rose, red berries - with a sparkling, lightly sweetened format. In the glass (or more likely straight from the chilled can), it leads with raspberry, strawberry and rosehip, softened by a touch of floral rose. There's a faint apple crispness on the finish and a hint of lemon zest keeping things bright. The sweetness is restrained - stevia rather than sugar - which gives it a drier profile than most pink RTDs in this category. It's squarely pitched at picnics and brunches, and it lands there competently. This isn't trying to be complex; it's trying to be easy, and it succeeds on those terms. Whether you'd pick it over making your own with the bottle is a closer call than Lyre's would probably like.
