Hollerblüte Alcohol-Free
An organic alcohol-free radler from Bavaria's oldest certified organic brewery, blending AF lager with elderflower lemonade for a floral, lightly sweet summer drink.
About This Drink
Neumarkter Lammsbräu has been brewing organic beer in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria since 1628, and holds the distinction of being Germany's oldest certified organic brewery. The Hollerblüte is one of their more playful releases — a mixed beer drink that pairs their alcohol-free lager with elderflower (Hollerblüte) soft drink in a 50/50 split. The result sits squarely in radler territory. The elderflower leads on aroma and taste. There's genuine floral character here — more elderflower cordial than beer — with the cereal base providing just enough structure to remind you there's beer in the glass. A citrus edge lifts it slightly, stopping the sweetness from becoming flat. At 27 kcal per 100ml and 5.5g sugar, it's moderately sweet but not heavy. Certified organic throughout, vegan, and produced in returnable 330ml glass bottles. It's not a beer drinker's first choice, but as a warm-weather soft serve alternative that's a cut above standard lemonade, it does the job without pretending to be something it isn't.
