About This Drink
Eisberg Chardonnay 0.0% is a dealcoholised white wine made from Chardonnay grapes, with the alcohol removed by vacuum distillation at low temperature. It is produced by Schloss Wachenheim in Germany using grapes from selected European partner wineries. It pours a pale straw yellow. The nose is approachable and fruit-forward: crisp apple and a hint of honey lead, with ripe peach following and a touch of vanilla on the back. The palate continues in a similar vein, with the apple fruitiness and gentle sweetness making it easy-drinking rather than demanding. There is modest complexity here, but it is honest and consistent. The finish carries a soft vanilla note. It suits mid-week drinking, works alongside roasted chicken or creamy pasta dishes, and is best served chilled at around 8 to 10°C.
