Like the Classic, Rose is made by distilling botanicals without producing any alcohol, in small batches in Sweden. The botanical list overlaps with Classic but adds rose and hibiscus to the juniper and rooibos foundation. The floral notes come through clearly on the nose and carry into the palate. Rose is the dominant character, with hibiscus adding some tang and colour. Juniper is still present but sits further back than in the Classic. The mouthfeel is smooth, almost silky, and the finish is soft rather than dry. It's the sweeter-feeling of the two, even though it contains minimal calories. It works in a tonic serve but lends itself to longer, more floral builds. If you find standard gin-style AF spirits too austere, this is worth trying.
