Free IPA
Alcohol-free IPA from a small Polish craft brewery, hopped with Polish Iunga and American Cascade for a dry, resinous bite.
About This Drink
Free IPA is Browar Gzub's take on an alcohol-free India Pale Ale, brewed at their small setup in Środa Wielkopolska. It uses a combination of Polish Iunga and American Cascade hops: Iunga brings earthy, herbal notes while Cascade adds grapefruit peel and floral citrus. The beer sits under 0.5% ABV. The nose opens with grapefruit and light pine resin, backed by a thin biscuit malt base. On the palate it is noticeably dry for a non-alcoholic beer, with a firm, resinous bitterness and citrus notes cutting through. The hop presence is direct and assertive rather than juicy. Malt sweetness is kept deliberately low, which lets the hop profile do the work. The finish is dry and bitter with lingering grapefruit peel. Worth seeking out if you want an AF IPA that leans into bitterness rather than sweetness.
