36° Grenache

Award-winning dry red, dark in colour with red fruits and herbs

About This Drink

Jörg Geiger's 36° Grenache is an alcohol-free red wine substitute from Schlat bei Göppingen in Germany, built on a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah alongside plum juice and herbs. It is made by de-alcoholisation, meaning the wine is fermented to full strength and then the alcohol is taken back out, leaving a still drink that is dark red in the glass. The aroma is dominated by red fruits, with red grapes, juicy red fruits and ripe berries coming through. On the palate it is dry, opulent and berry-like, carrying a herbal, ethereal character with rosemary and thyme. The producer suggests serving it at 14 to 16 degrees as a companion to food. This award-winning drink is also vegan.
