Siegfried is a German botanical spirit brand founded in 2014 by Raphael Vollmar and Gerald Koenen in Bonn, with an alcohol-free range launched in 2018. The brand takes its name from the hero of the Nibelung Saga, specifically the legend of Siegfried slaying the dragon on the Drachenfels mountain near Bonn, rooting it in a strong Rhineland regional identity. The parent company, Rheinland Distillers GmbH, positioned Wonderleaf as the first AF alternative from a German gin producer when it launched, an early move in a category that was still establishing itself. In 2021, Diageo acquired a minority stake in Rheinland Distillers, bringing institutional backing to the brand's expansion.

Rather than dealcoholising an existing spirit, Siegfried uses steam distillation to extract aromas from natural botanicals. The process passes steam through the botanical ingredients, which draws out their aromatic compounds and carries them into the finished product without the need for alcohol as a solvent. This approach builds the AF product from the ground up and is documented on the brand's own site as central to the range's flavour identity.

Since 2018, the AF portfolio has expanded to cover botanical spirits, an agave-inspired variant, and a ready-to-drink aperitif, making Siegfried one of the few single-brand AF spirit producers with a range that spans multiple spirit and RTD styles. The range sits at a premium price point and is available through specialist alcohol-free retailers and online marketplaces.
