Distillation 29 is Herbarium's more characterful bottling — the one that came first, before they added the floral Distillation 8 to the range. The same production method applies: Steve and Andrew distil botanicals through copper pot stills without alcohol, sugar, or artificial anything. Eleven botanicals in total, recipe 29, with juniper sitting at the centre of the flavour profile. Where Distillation 8 is gentle and floral, this one has some conviction. Juniper comes through clearly, with a green herbal mintiness alongside, and the spice elements (peppery, slightly warming) keep it from reading as just another botanical water. There's a dry finish that makes it play convincingly in a G&T serve. Pair with tonic and a wedge of lime. Zero calories, zero sugar, vegan, and gluten-free.
