Eisberg
Eisberg is an alcohol-free wine brand from Pfalz, Germany, that has held a leading position in the UK's de-alcoholised wine category since its introduction to the British market in 1985.
Produced by Schloss Wachenheim, the German winery that acquired Eisberg from Halewood Artisanal Spirits in 2020, the brand makes its wines by removing the alcohol from real wine through vacuum distillation. The process lowers the boiling point of alcohol to approximately 30°C, meaning the alcohol can be separated at low temperatures. One of the distillation stills at the production facility is powered by solar energy.
The range covers whites, reds, rosés and sparkling wines, with styles classified across dry (Trocken) and semi-dry (Halbtrocken) profiles. Part of the range uses organic de-alcoholised base wine. Eisberg positions its wines as suitable for pregnant women.
In October 2025, Eisberg launched Be Free, a canned alcohol-free ready-to-drink range developed with a younger generation of consumers in mind, moving beyond the bottled wine formats the brand built its mainstream retail presence on.
Eisberg has a broad retail footprint across mainstream channels. Its website includes a section on food and cocktail pairing for those entertaining without alcohol.
