Grenache and Chardonnay grape juice concentrates form the base, with Rio Red grapefruit juice and a touch of apple cider vinegar keeping the sweetness from getting out of hand. The grapefruit leads in the aroma - there's real citrus pith here, not just sweetness. Raspberry arrives on the palate alongside it, giving a tart counterpoint. Holy basil is the interesting one: faintly herbal, almost spiced, somewhere between clove and anise, and it sets this apart from simpler fruit-and-fizz blends. It pours coral with fine, persistent bubbles. The finish is dry and citrus-forward with lingering grapefruit. No added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives. Gluten-free and non-GMO. Best served cold.
