Maryensztadt
Maryensztadt is a Polish craft brewery based in Sycyna-Kolonia, Zwoleń, in the Mazovian region, and takes its name from a small historic neighbourhood in the heart of Warsaw. The brewery was founded by Marcin, who came to the role after working as a consultant brewer, and the team includes Artur Napuripski, who acts as sales manager, beer sommelier and brewery historian. Alongside its full craft programme, Maryensztadt produces a range of alcohol-free beers.
The brewery draws on a wide selection of hop varieties, including Marynka, Iunga, Zibi, Cascade, Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Galaxy, Sabro, Chinook and Idaho7. The craft range spans styles including the traditional Polish Grodziskie, German Pils, Double Saison, sour and fruit-forward beers, smoothie-style beers made with fruit, and imperial-strength porters. The alcohol-free programme reflects the same approach: one AF option is brewed in the American Pale Ale style, and the range also includes sour, fruit-driven beers and smoothie-style versions made with fruit.
Maryensztadt has made minimising its environmental footprint part of its production approach, reducing both energy and water use and recycling water through the brewing process. The brewery also runs WKPD, a homebrewing competition in which prize-winning participants earn the chance to scale their recipes on the brewery's own kit.
