Neon Raptor

The brewery began as a home-brewing hobby: Adam Henderson, Tom Gidlow, and Bryony Gidlow won a local competition in 2016, which prompted the move into commercial production. The initial phase involved cuckoo brewing, an arrangement where a brewery produces its batches at another facility's site using existing equipment rather than owning its own. After working at several established breweries in this way, Neon Raptor opened a permanent production space and taproom at Sneinton Market, Nottingham, in 2018.

The brand's identity is built around 1980s film culture and dinosaur imagery, expressed through retro-futuristic neon artwork that extends across the packaging and the Sneinton taproom. That same creative spirit runs into the brewing programme: Neon Raptor specialises in experimental and high-adjunct styles, with pastry stouts and heavily hopped IPAs forming the backbone of the core range. Small batches rotate through the taproom and the direct-to-consumer webshop on a regular basis.

The AF lineup sits within this same creative framework rather than operating as a separate, simplified product range. It is small, with a handful of alcohol-free beers available alongside the rotating alcoholic programme. The AF range is accessible to sober-curious drinkers through specialist alcohol-free retailers as well as the brewery's own direct sales channels and the Sneinton taproom.

Distribution runs through a multi-channel model: the Sneinton Market taproom, a direct-to-consumer webshop, and specialist retailers. The AF output sits firmly in the premium bracket for independent craft beer.
