Sabatini
Sabatini is a family-run Italian gin brand, founded in 2015 by Ugo, Enrico, Niccolò, and Filippo Sabatini in Cortona, in the Valdichiana region of Tuscany. The four founders drew on a family tradition of aperitifs stretching back to the early 1900s, setting out to create a gin inspired by their home in Tuscany.
Sabatini Gin is distilled using traditional London Dry methods, combining English gin-making technique with the botanicals of the Tuscan countryside. Nine botanicals go into the recipe: juniper, Florentine iris, coriander, olive leaves, sage, thyme, lavender, wild fennel and lemon verbena. Many are harvested on the Sabatini family estate in southeastern Tuscany; the juniper is sourced from various lands across Italy. Alongside the original, the brand's alcoholic gin range extends to barrel-aged and cacao-infused styles.
Alongside its alcoholic gins, Sabatini produces an alcohol-free gin alternative made by infusing five Tuscan botanicals, including sage, thyme, olive leaves, lavender and lemon verbena. The AF product sits in the premium segment, and the brand has cited a focus on conscious drinking as part of its direction.
Sabatini is a "Made in Italy" product, available through specialist alcohol-free retailers and from the brand's own site.
